Parkside Victoria Resort & Spa Unveils iPad Bar

October 22, 2010

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Victoria, BCParkside Victoria Resort & Spa is bringing Apple's iPad to its guests with the unveiling of its complimentary iPad Bar this week.

Located in the Parkside atrium's new Discovery Centre and perhaps the first if its kind, the custom-built iPad Bar features four touchscreen tablet computers with access to Internet and various iPad applications designed to improve the guest experience and add a new level of convenience.

“Our iPad Bar is yet another amenity to enhance the experience at Parkside, whether it's used to check email, browse current events or use the many Apps available,” says Aviawest Resort Group CEO Jim Pearson.

Released in April 2010, Apple's iPad created international buzz as a sleek alternative to laptop computers.

Although Parkside already offers complimentary wireless Internet to guests, the iPad Bar broadens Internet access to those without personal computers and, through its many iPad Apps, provides direction for those wishing to learn more about vacation ownership and fractional ownership, which Parkside offers along with other Aviawest resorts located around British Columbia.

The iPad Bar is a central feature of Parkside's new 776-square-foot Discovery Centre, which also includes a wall-mounted flat screen HD television and a model of the resort, along with educational and historical displays about Parkside and Victoria.

Parkside is a sustainable resort leading Canada in innovative green resort hotel development and design built to LEED® Platinum Certification Standards, the highest rating.
